Most famous for its iconic ‘potter’s wheel’ scene that engrained The Righteous Brother’s ‘Unchained Melody’ into the public consciousness, it was only natural that the story made a transition to musical theatre.
Ghost the Musical tells the story of Molly, mourning the loss of the love of her life, Sam. Unbeknownst to her, Molly’s life is in danger, so Sam must come back as a spirit in order to warn her. The show balances the strong themes of love and loss with a moving score and powerful performances from leads Mark Evans and Siobhan Dillon.
Ghost the Musical first opened at the Manchester Opera House on March 2011 before transferring to the West End in June. The audience reception to the show has been extremely favorable, and upcoming productions are still set to open in Australia and New York.
